The Sierra Pear Shaped Halo Diamond Engagement Ring

The Sierra frames a pear-cut diamond in a halo of round diamonds, with larger rounds at the four compass points — a vintage pear halo engagement ring, not a plain circle.

The Sierra is a pear shaped halo engagement ring built around contrast — a romantic pear-cut center diamond surrounded by a cluster halo of round diamonds, accented at the north, south, east, and west positions by larger round diamonds that extend the halo outward. The compass accent structure gives this pear shape engagement ring a directional quality, applied here to a teardrop center whose romantic silhouette the halo frames and amplifies.

Metal Options 14K Yellow Gold, 14K White Gold, 14K Rose Gold, or Platinum. Sustainably sourced.
Style Pear shaped halo engagement ring
Setting Six rounded prongs
Band 2mm
Setting Height Medium
Band Profile Diamond pavé
Crafting Time Approximately 3-4 weeks

Setting starts at $2,695. Paired with a 1 carat lab grown pear cut diamond center, the Sierra pear shaped halo engagement ring starts at approximately $3,595.

How should the pear diamond be oriented in the Sierra setting?

A pear is most often set point-down, with the tip toward the fingertip and the rounded end toward the wrist, which elongates the finger and gives the classic teardrop look the Sierra frames. The orientation is something we confirm together during your design appointment so it sits the way you prefer.

What do the larger round compass accents add to a pear halo?

Set at the north, south, east, and west positions, larger round diamonds extend the halo outward and give it rhythm rather than a single even ring. Around the pear center they frame the teardrop with graduated brilliance, amplifying its romantic silhouette while keeping the halo cohesive and luminous.

How does the Sierra differ from a typical pear-shaped engagement ring?

Most pear halos use one uniform ring of round diamonds. The Sierra sizes them unevenly — larger round diamonds mark the four compass points with smaller ones filling between, which is what gives the halo its vintage cluster look, and round diamonds continue down the shank so the brightness doesn't stop at the halo.

Our guided approach to customizing each ring with intention and clarity.

The Sierra Pear Shaped Halo Diamond Engagement Ring

The pear cut has carried romantic symbolism for centuries — its teardrop silhouette suggesting both vulnerability and forward motion. Pear halos amplify that reading rather than just repeat it.

A halo of round diamonds surrounds the pear center, and at the four compass points larger rounds extend outward, framing the center with graduated brilliance rather than one even ring.

The Sierra is for couples who want a pear's softness held inside structure, not a bare solitaire's point left unframed.

What our customers say about their Lisa Robin Engagement Rings

The ring is absolutely perfect. Lisa was able to use the Sierra design and incorporate diamonds gifted by my fiance's grandmother. That makes it even more special!

My fiance' designed my engagement ring with Lisa. I wanted something with a vintage feel and a blue center stone. They decided on this gorgeous aquamarine and chose rose gold to accent the blue. I love it, and it is perfect. Thank you lisa, he wouldn't have been able to do it without you.

I also love the unique shapes of the Tara and how it beautifully compliments my Sierra engagement ring. Thank you for helping Sam design such a beautiful wedding set.

Engagement Ring Setting Questions

The setting is everything except the center diamond: the band, the prongs or bezel that hold your diamond, and any side diamonds. Each Lisa Robin setting is made to the exact dimensions of the diamond it holds, so your setting and center diamond are chosen and ordered together.
No. Every setting is made to fit its diamond exactly, so the two are ordered together. You can choose a lab-grown or natural diamond, or bring an heirloom diamond of your own. A handling fee applies to diamonds you supply, and you know the amount before you approve.
Settings start at $2,095 in 14K gold, and each product page shows the current price for every metal. Your center diamond is priced on its own, by size, shape, quality and whether it is lab-grown or natural, and its price includes designing your ring to its exact dimensions and setting it.
Your ring is crafted in 3 to 4 weeks after you approve your design. If you have a proposal date in mind, tell Lisa at your first appointment so the timeline is planned around it.
The settings shown here are made in 14K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum. A custom engagement ring can be made in 10K, 14K or 18K gold, or platinum. Lisa explains how each metal wears and how it changes the price.
Either fits any setting here. Lab-grown is the more common choice, because it gives you a larger diamond for the same budget. Natural diamonds hold their rarity. Lisa shows you both side by side on screen, with every number, so you can compare before you decide.
Yes. You can change the diamond shape, the band width, the setting height or the side diamonds. Any change makes it your design, and you see it in CAD renderings built to your diamond before it is made.
Start with what you want to notice first: one diamond, a frame of diamonds, or many set together. A solitaire keeps attention on your center diamond, a halo adds sparkle around it, and a cluster gives a fuller look. The Engagement Ring Style Quiz narrows it down in a few questions.
Yes. Lisa builds CAD renderings of your ring to your diamond's exact size, from several angles and beside your wedding ring if you're designing both. Nothing is made until you approve.
Every Lisa Robin engagement ring carries a lifetime craftsmanship warranty against crafting defects. A JM Care Plan is available for coverage beyond that, and Lisa explains both at your appointment.
