A Halo with Direction Built In

A halo doesn't have to enclose. Most do — a closed ring of accent diamonds tracing a circle around the center, tidy and finished and slightly inert.

The Revel breaks the circle at four points. Marquise diamonds sit at north, south, east and west, and their tips run outward past where the halo would have ended. The frame stops being a boundary and starts being a direction — four of them, radiating from the center like a compass rose.

A ruby is the strongest thing you can put at the middle of that. Red against white diamonds is the most direct opposition in jewelry, and the marquise points give that intensity somewhere to travel rather than trapping it inside a ring.
