The diamond is included and already in stock — a 2.35 carat radiant cut lab created diamond, VVS2 clarity and E color. There's nothing to select and no separate center to source. The ring itself is still made for you. Once you choose your metal and finger size, the Olivia setting is crafted to order around that specific diamond, in approximately 3-4 weeks. If you'd rather choose your own diamond instead, the Olivia setting is offered on its own and we'll build around whatever you select.

What is a radiant cut, and how does it compare to an emerald or a round?

A radiant sits between the two. An emerald cut is step cut — long parallel facets giving broad, slow flashes and a calm, architectural look. A round is brilliant cut — many small facets producing rapid fire. A radiant applies brilliant faceting to a rectangular outline with trimmed corners, so it sparkles like a round while keeping the clean geometry of an emerald. The trimmed corners also make it more durable than a sharp-cornered princess cut.

What do VVS2 and E mean, and how does 2.35 carat read on the hand?

VVS2 is the second-highest clarity tier — any inclusions are very difficult to find even under 10x magnification, and invisible to you. E is the second-highest color grade, colorless, with no warmth at all. Together they're well above what most engagement diamonds carry. At 2.35 carat it has clear presence, and the radiant's rectangular outline spreads that weight across the finger rather than concentrating it in a circle, so it reads even larger than the number suggests. The slim 1.8mm band and low setting are deliberate counterweights: a wider band under a diamond this size would make the whole ring read heavy.

Where the center is a one-of-a-kind gemstone, we'll send you an image of the actual gemstone before it's set — so you see the exact piece going into your ring rather than a representative photograph.

Before your ring is hand-crafted, you’ll review detailed renderings created using your diamond’s dimensions. Multiple views allow proportions and design details to be carefully reviewed, and you’ll approve the design before crafting begins. If a wedding ring is selected on the same order, renderings will also show the rings individually and together so you can see how they pair.

Once your design is approved, your ring is hand-crafted specifically for you and typically completed in about three weeks.
