How does the ruby Jaylin differ from the white diamond Jaylin?

The setting is the same: four clusters of three round diamonds at the quadrants, lifted on a cathedral band. The difference is the center. A ruby puts deep red in the middle of the white petals, where a white diamond would read as continuous brilliance.
