Can the ring be engraved?

Yes. We offer interior engraving up to 30 characters, with 8 font choices to select from during checkout. The engraving is done inside the band (visible to the wearer only) — most couples choose initials, a meaningful date, a short phrase, or coordinates. Engraving is not available on the outside of these alternative metal bands due to the construction of the materials.

How does black titanium develop over time?

Black titanium's color is integral to the surface treatment — it doesn't wear off the way coatings do, though the brushed finish can pick up fine scratches over years of daily wear. The brushed texture actually disguises minor surface scratches well because the existing finish lines blend with new fine marks. Heavy impact or contact with very hard surfaces can produce more visible marks; this is normal for any titanium ring and is consistent with the character of daily wear. Titanium can be refinished by a jeweler if needed — the surface can be polished or re-brushed to restore the original appearance.
