Rigel carries a brushed black tungsten center across the band face, polished beveled edges framing the brushed center, and a vibrant blue ceramic interior visible only when the ring is removed or rotated to catch the inside. Who sees the blue ceramic interior?

The blue ceramic interior is visible primarily to the wearer — when they take the ring off, when they rotate it on their finger, or when they glance at the inside while removing or putting on the band. To anyone observing the ring from outside, it reads as a clean black tungsten wedding band with no color detail. The blue interior is essentially a private design element — the wearer's color choice that doesn't have to negotiate with anyone else's preferences or contexts (work, formal events, etc.) because it isn't externally visible.

Can the ring be engraved?

Yes. We offer interior engraving up to 30 characters, with 8 font choices to select from during checkout. The engraving is done inside the band (visible to the wearer only) — most couples choose initials, a meaningful date, a short phrase, or coordinates. Engraving is not available on the outside of these alternative metal bands due to the construction of the materials.

Will engraving be visible alongside the blue ceramic interior?

Interior engraving on the Rigel sits within the same interior surface as the blue ceramic. The engraving is set into the ceramic, producing visible characters within the blue color rather than against bare metal. The combination reads as deliberate — engraved text against vivid color — and most couples who order both find that the engraving stands out against the blue interior in a way that's more visually distinctive than engraving against bare metal would be. We confirm engraving placement during the order to ensure the text is positioned correctly within the colored interior.

Alternative metals cannot be resized like gold or platinum. If your finger size changes, we offer free size exchanges for the lifetime of your ring—just contact us to arrange.
