The Zoey is contoured — meaning the band is shaped specifically to nest against the outline of the engagement ring it pairs with, rather than following a standard curve. The 1.6mm tapered band carries 0.6 carat of prong-set diamonds along its length, with the contour shaped during design to match the engagement ring's exact silhouette.

As a contoured diamond band, the Zoey is a more bespoke nesting solution than a standard curved or chevron band — the contour is designed to the specific engagement ring rather than to a standard geometry.

What's the difference between contoured, curved, and chevron bands?

All three are wedding band shapes designed to nest against an engagement ring rather than sit flat. A curved band follows a standard arc shape (designed for round and oval engagement ring shanks). A chevron band is V-shaped (designed for angular engagement rings). A contoured band like the Zoey is shaped specifically to the silhouette of the engagement ring it pairs with — neither a standard curve nor a V, but a custom outline matched to a specific engagement ring design. Contoured bands are more bespoke than curved or chevron.

Does the Zoey require knowing the specific engagement ring it will pair with?

Yes. Because the contour is shaped to the specific engagement ring's silhouette, we need the engagement ring's exact dimensions and outline to craft the contoured band correctly. If you already own the engagement ring (whether ours or another designer's), we work from the actual ring or its precise specifications. If the engagement ring hasn't been crafted yet, we design the Zoey alongside it so the two rings are made to fit each other from the start. The contoured fit is what makes this band different from a standard curved band.

What does 'tapered' add to a contoured band?

Tapered means the band changes width along its length — typically narrower at the underside and wider at the top where the diamonds are set. On the Zoey, the taper combined with the contour produces a band that reads delicate where it sits between fingers and substantial where the diamonds catch light. The taper is functional (more comfortable, less material on the underside) and visual (more diamond presence where it's seen, less metal where it isn't). Tapered contoured bands are the most engineered of the nesting wedding band formats.

The Zoey Contoured Diamond Band

A curved band follows a standard arc. A chevron band follows a standard V. A contoured band follows the specific shape of the engagement ring it pairs with.

The Zoey is shaped to a specific engagement ring's outline rather than to a generic geometry. The 1.6mm tapered band carries 0.6 carat of prong-set diamonds along its length, with the band's contour drawn during design to match the engagement ring's silhouette — wherever the engagement ring's setting projects, the Zoey curves around it; wherever the engagement ring's shank dips, the Zoey rises to meet it. The result is a wedding band that nests against the engagement ring along the engagement ring's exact outline, not against a standard arc that approximates it. The taper makes the band more comfortable underneath the finger while keeping the diamond presence visible from above. In yellow gold the contour reads warmer; in white gold the architecture of the contour reads sharpest. As a contoured diamond band, the Zoey is the most bespoke nesting wedding band format.

The Zoey joins a Lisa Robin tradition of contoured wedding bands designed for couples who want their two rings shaped to each other rather than to a standard fit.

Design Process

The Lisa Robin Wedding Band Experience

A thoughtful process designed to bring clarity and confidence to the creation of your wedding band.

At a certain point, continuing to search for a wedding band doesn’t make the decision clearer—it just makes it harder.

Our collection is intentionally edited to help you recognize when you’ve found the right direction. Each wedding band design reflects a distinct point of view, with proportions and details that set it apart from what you’ve likely been seeing online.

When something here resonates, the decision tends to feel clear.

From there, we guide you in refining the details to align the design with your preferences.

Once you’ve chosen your wedding band, you’ll select the core elements that define the design:

  • Metal type
  • Natural or lab-grown diamonds (if applicable)
  • Finger size
  • Optional engraving

If your wedding band will be worn alongside an engagement ring, we can help you evaluate how the proportions and overall profile will sit together and feel over time.

These decisions are focused and straightforward—so you can move forward with clarity.

If you’d like to adjust your diamond wedding ring, we guide you through a thoughtful refinement process—ensuring any changes support the overall balance and feel of the design.

Common refinements may include:

  • Adjusting band width or profile
  • Refining diamond size or spacing
  • Subtle modifications to improve pairing or wearability

Each change is considered within the context of the full design, so the final ring feels cohesive and intentional from every angle.

For custom refinements, we provide renderings for review before crafting begins—so you can move forward with complete confidence.

Every custom wedding band is hand-crafted to order based on your final selections.

  • Crafted specifically for your chosen design and refinements
  • No pre-made inventory or resizing shortcuts
  • Typical timeline: 2–3 weeks

If additional clarity is helpful before crafting begins, we can guide you through the next steps to ensure everything feels aligned.
