Any design can be refined before crafting begins: adjust band width, change prong style, modify halo proportions, swap to a colored diamond or gemstone center, or coordinate the design with a future wedding ring. Pricing for any refinement is shared transparently before approval.

Either way, you see the full specifications — cut, color, clarity, carat weight, and certification details — along with a video of the actual diamond before you approve it. Lisa is available to guide you through the selection by phone or video appointment if you'd like help, starting at the highest quality and adjusting where it matters least to the eye if budget is a factor.

Lab grown vs. natural diamond. Both are real diamonds with identical chemical, physical, and optical properties. Lab grown diamonds are created in a controlled laboratory environment in weeks rather than billions of years, which makes them more affordable per carat and gives them a documented sustainable origin. For couples who want an ethical engagement ring, lab grown diamonds offer full traceability — the lab, the growth method (HPHT or CVD), and the cutter are all documented. Natural diamonds carry geological history; Lisa Robin sources only conflict-free natural diamonds with verified provenance.

Diamond shape. Round diamonds maximize brilliance. Oval, pear, and marquise shapes appear larger than their carat weight. Emerald, asscher, and radiant cuts are step or modified-step cuts with a different light pattern than brilliants. Trying on different shapes is the best way to know what feels right.

Metal. Diamond engagement rings are available in 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, 14K rose gold, and platinum. White metals emphasize diamond brilliance. Yellow and rose gold create warmth around the center. Platinum is the most durable metal and the only naturally white precious metal.
