How is the Ivy different from the Laurel and the Jaylin?

The Ivy takes the leaf and vine shank you know from the Laurel and the floral halo you know from the Jaylin, and joins them with a cathedral rise. The Laurel carries its botanical band to a lower setting; the Jaylin sets its halo on a plainer shank. The Ivy is the version where the botanical detail runs the whole way — shank, shoulders, halo — without a break.

What does the cathedral rise do for an oval center?

Cathedral shoulders lift the center above the plane of the band, which does two things for an oval. It gives the elongated shape room to sit without the ends crowding the shank, and it opens space beneath the setting so light reaches the diamond from the sides as well as the top. It also raises the profile, so a curved or contoured wedding ring nests more comfortably against it than a straight band would.

What wedding ring pairs with the Ivy?

The cathedral rise means a straight band will leave a gap beneath the setting, so a curved or contoured ring sits better. Within the botanical family, the Willow's milgrain leaf and vine and the Marlowe's leaf curved open band both carry the same design language. If you would rather the band stayed quiet and let the Ivy speak, a plain curved ring in the matching metal does that.

The Ivy Leaf and Vine Halo Engagement Ring

The Ivy Leaf and Vine Halo Engagement Ring

A leaf and vine shank asks a question: where does the vine go? On the Ivy, it climbs — traveling the band, then rising into cathedral shoulders that lift the oval center clear of the finger, where it resolves into a floral halo of round accent diamonds set like petals.

The cathedral height is what makes the join work, giving the vine somewhere to arrive. In yellow gold the leafwork reads warmest and most organic; in white gold or platinum the same detail reads finer and more architectural.

The Ivy is for couples drawn to botanical detail but wanting more structure around the center than a plain vine band gives.
