The Avery orients each emerald cut diamond east-west across the band — the long axis of the rectangle running perpendicular to the band rather than parallel with it. The diamonds are prong-set in continuous succession around the 3.3mm band, and the horizontal orientation makes each stone's step-cut geometry read as a series of small rectangular windows around the finger.
As an east west emerald cut eternity ring, the Avery reads as more contemporary than a conventional emerald cut eternity band. The horizontal stone orientation produces a different proportion and a more architectural visual rhythm.
