How does the Hadley differ from a typical ruby halo or solitaire?

The Hadley's halo follows the marquise ruby's outline in round diamonds rather than closing into a circle, so the white frame comes to a point at each end of the center. Compared to a solitaire you gain a full diamond outline; compared to a round halo you keep the marquise's elongated shape instead of rounding it off.

Will the halo make the marquise ruby look wider or longer from the top?

Longer. The round diamonds trace the ruby's marquise outline, adding width evenly along both curved sides and carrying the two points outward — the finished silhouette is a larger version of the same elongated shape, not a circle with a gemstone inside it.

Will a wedding ring sit flush against the Hadley?

The halo comes to a point at the base of the ruby, so a straight wedding band meets that point rather than the shank and can leave a small gap. An open or contoured band nests around the point; if you'd rather keep a straight band, we can adjust the shank's taper so the two sit together.
