The stepped construction gives the ring dimensional architecture — a flat band sits in one plane, but the Rhinox moves through three planes as the eye travels from center to edge. What are 'step edges' on a wedding band?

Step edges describe a band profile where the metal falls away from the raised center in distinct stepped levels rather than in a smooth bevel or curve. On the Rhinox, the brushed raised center is the highest plane, and the edges step down in clearly defined levels to the polished outermost edge of the band. Visually, this gives the ring architectural dimension — the eye reads three distinct planes from center to edge rather than one continuous surface. Step edges read more deliberate and industrial than beveled edges (which use angled transitions) or rounded edges (which use curves).

Can the ring be engraved?

Yes. We offer interior engraving up to 30 characters, with 8 font choices to select from during checkout. The engraving is done inside the band (visible to the wearer only) — most couples choose initials, a meaningful date, a short phrase, or coordinates. Engraving is not available on the outside of these alternative metal bands due to the construction of the materials.

Is the Rhinox more comfortable in 6mm or 8mm?

Both widths use the same step edge construction and interior profile. The 6mm reads as a refined daily wedding band proportion with the step edges at smaller scale. The 8mm reads as a more substantial men's-traditional width with the step edges more visible. Comfort is similar at both widths because titanium is lightweight — neither width carries significant weight on the finger. The choice is primarily about visual presence: 6mm for understated, 8mm for substantial. Many wearers prefer the 8mm specifically because the step edge architecture reads more clearly at the wider scale.
